Hi! I am offering watercolour workshops in the local area in Staffordshire, UK and West Midlands. Please, get in touch if you are interested in organizing one with me marggalkina.illustration@gmail.com
Art workshops are usually focused on particular topic, medium, style. They are suitable for adult artists of all abilities, whether you are a complete beginner looking to learn how to draw and paint or an amateur artist looking to improve your art. My art workshops are 4-6 hours long, all art materials will be included.

Beginner watercolour workshop

2026 is the year to get more creative! I am thrilled to announce my weekday workshop Beginners Watercolour Workshop at Apley Farm!
If you’ve ever wanted to start a new hobby this is your opportunity to try watercolour! How much water to use? How to load your brush? How to paint white? How to manage the flow? How to protect your artwork? How to fix mistakes in watercolour? How to stretch watercolour paper? You will practice all of the main watercolour techniques, brushstrokes exercises, tonal values, consistency, colour wheel and colour theory, and much more!
All materials are provided for the workshop and there will be a chance to purchase a beginner kit from Rita at the end of session if you want to carry on at home. You will be provided with an A4 size practice sheet for watercolour techniques carefully designed and prepared by Rita and an A3 size paper filled with practical exercises which will help you learn more about watercolour. You will also be going home with 2 finished A5 size paintings: a night sky forest and a sunrise cactus.

Birthday card Watercolour Workshop
Tuesday 18th August 6pm- to 9pm

Join Rita for a lovely watercolour workshop learning the basics then painting two birthdays cards with watercolours and metallic paints. You will take your originals home but Rita will also scan them and prepare your cards after the workshop. These will be emailed to you so you can get them printed professionally!
All materials are provided for the workshop and there will be a chance to purchase a beginner kit from Rita at the end of session if you want to carry on at home.

Watercolour Techniques for Beginners Workshop! A great way to start a new hobby or brush up on your skills. We've just added a new date as this has been so popular and a lot of people missed out on the last one. "You will learn and practice so much on this fabulous watercolour workshop for beginners!
